Consider the following when using kinesiology tape:

• Do not apply to open wounds or injuries.
• Do not use if you have a known acrylic allergy (the kinesiology tape is latex-free but has an acrylic adhesive layer).
• Not recommended for use in case of psoriasis.
• Do not use around the connective tissue zone of the sacrum (genital area) during the first three months of pregnancy.
• If heart patients experience itching or hives in response to the kinesiology tape, do not use it.
• If the tape causes skin irritation or itching within one day of application, do not use the kinesiology tape.
• If you experience itching under the tape about 3-6 days after application, carefully remove it and allow your skin to recover for a few days before using the kinesiology tape again, but change it more frequently.
• Store the kinesiology tape out of reach of children.
